2008 Honda CR-V Review, Video & Pictures

The most spectacular thing I’ve realized about the new 2008 Honda CR-V is its ability to draw both power and utter efficiency out of its engine. The secret is in Honda’s i-VTEC engine, and the CR-V is equipped with a 166 hp one. This incredibly powerful engine provides the driver with a low-rpm torque to save energy, but it also unleashes the horses at the higher revs for true speed and power. Each CR-V comes with the option of Real Time 4-wheel drive to increase and sustain performance in unfavorable weather conditions.

In addition, the MacPherson strut suspension each CR-V is equipped with handles bumps like a pro, so although you may be in an SUV, it won’t feel like it. The exterior of the CR-V is sleek and luxurious looking with an aerodynamic shape, halogen headlights and internally stored spare tire gives it a more sophisticated look. It also has a lightweight hatchback tail-gate that opens upward in one piece, and is big enough to shelter you from the elements when you’re loading your cargo into the back.

Inside the CR-V is just as luxurious and appealing as the exterior, as it features more space for everything in your life. It has an upper and lower glove compartment, a dual-deck cargo shelf for those grocery outings, and 60/40 split fold down rear seat for traveling with your dogs or bringing those large items home from the hardware store, with room to spare. For the music lovers, the 2008 Honda CR-V comes with an MP3/Aux input jack, a 270-watt AM/FM/6-disk in-dash audio system that is equipped with 7 speakers and a subwoofer. This years model is also highly driver oriented, giving you all the power and controls you need right at your fingertips.

For those tight parking squeezes, you can retract the rear-view mirrors with the touch of a button. You also have steering wheel-mounted controls that give you instant access to volume control and cruise control, and one-touch power moonroof allows you minimal distractions from driving when you’re trying to get some air. Add the heated leather front seating, XM satellite radio and navigation system technologies, and you’ve completed the entourage of utilities in the perfect vehicle for your 2008 lifestyle.
